I would say out of all the songs on my CD, the song titled "WAIT ON YOU" best describes me. Music has always been a great passion of mine even at a very young age. Growing up in St. Louis, Missouri, I was always writing music from my swing set and dreaming big dreams. I was convinced that by the age of 15 I would be on my way to Nashville. Needless to say, that just wasn't God's timing for me.

Since then, God has given me some great opportunities to share my music. For example, opening for Rebecca St. James, Big Tent Revival and others at Summer Jam 2000, winning a trip to the GMA Seminar and learning a ton about the industry, and putting on my first full show in St. Louis.

In 2001, I then learned about Shay Watson's songwriting service. After a year of writing and learning, I had a hand full of songs. Shay told me that I could either try to pitch my songs to other artist or start my own music ministry. In my heart it was not a hard decision but everything around me told me that I would be crazy to think about doing this.

I wondered why God was opening this door for me now during this sweet time in my life when I'm now a wife and a mother. I remember rocking my son Noah to sleep at about 2 am one morning (I got a lot of praying in during those times.) I have always known that God wanted to use me but I never dreamed that it would be at this time in my life. I also knew that it was going to take time and money and I didn't see how that was going to happen for us.

Then I remembered Moses and the Israelites standing at the bank of the Red Sea crying out to God because they didn't know what to do. "Then the Lord said to Moses, 'Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on." (Exodus 14:15) They had to move forward in faith and then God worked out all the details. It was then that I realized that I had to be obedient to what God had called me to do and move forward.

We did just that, we pressed on in faith and God has been so faithful to work out all the details. This is a unique perspective that I believe I bring to the body of Christ. I want to encourage believers, men, woman, young and old to be bold in their faith and do all that God has for them to do in this life. "For God is working in you, giving you the desire to obey Him and the power to do what pleases Him." (Philippians 2:13)

Because God has allowed me to "wait on Him" it has given me a chance to learn that this life is about me putting Jesus above all things, seeking first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness (Matthew 6:31-33). My dreams are now bigger than they ever have been before. God is so good.
